About Rust
Rust is a multiplayer survival game from Facepunch: you spawn on an island with a rock and a torch, build a base, gather resources and fight other players and clans. It's a paid game on Steam. The console version, Rust Console Edition, is handled by Double Eleven. The biggest event in Rust is the wipe. On the first Thursday of every month, alongside the monthly update, Facepunch force-wipes the maps on all servers, official and community alike. The time is the same for everyone: 19:00 London time. Many servers also wipe the map weekly or biweekly on their own schedule, and blueprints are reset at the server owner's discretion. Consoles run on their own schedule: monthly servers wipe on the last Thursday of the month at 14:00 New York time, weekly servers wipe every Thursday. The first hours after a wipe decide who claims the best spots on the map. That's why clans gather in advance and join the server the minute it opens.
